Since Windows To Go was developed with this very specific use in mind, Microsoft doesn't officially support using non-enterprise versions of Windows in a WTG environment. WTG provides a secured environment complete with software when an employee is working remotely or from a shared computer.
This feature is targeted primarily towards enterprise customers with the idea that the corporate environment could be taken anywhere.
